First and foremost in becoming a PMP is a plan for your studying. Preparation for the PMP exam is time-consuming, and mostly every PMP candidate consider how to plan for the preparation process. There are many resources on the Internet that outline some typical steps or even a detail schedule you should follow to take the exam. However, while general guidelines may be relevant for many of us, there are also factors that make preparation for the exam a highly individual process: timing, budget and personal experience in project management. I would like to consider here these factors and how you should consider them in planning for your own preparation.
